Architecture Drawing / CAD

This course provides a basic introduction to the fundamental concepts and principles of architectural design and drawing. Students complete a series of drawings directly related to topics that include the application of the basic principles of mathematics, residential design and construction, floor plans, construction details, exterior elevation views, dimensioning, and noting. Students will also learn to use the CAD software AutoCAD which is used in many architectural offices around the world.

Architectural drawing serves as a general exploration of the topic for those who are interested in an overview of the subject and as a first step for those who choose to continue on in drawing or a related technical profession.
