Film Studies focuses upon the analysis and appreciation of films. Students learn motion picture production, storytelling techniques, filmmakers’ responsibilities, the history of film, and the importance of film in our society. Students study classic films and important filmmakers.

Introduction to High School English provides incoming freshmen with direct instruction and practice in three areas of literacy: (1) grammar, usage, and mechanics, (2) reading strategies, and (3) basic compositional techniques. This course provides a “head start” in literacy skills that benefits incoming students in all subject areas.
