Classes will be held at Vernon Hills High School for the 2010 summer term.
TERM:
Academics: Tuesday, June 8 through Thursday, July 29 (No school July 5)
Driver Education: Monday, June 7 through Thursday, July 22 (No school July 5)
CLASSES WILL MEET MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.THE BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAYS.
CLASS HOURS:
7:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
First semester and Session 1 classes will meet from Tuesday, June 8 through Thursday,
July 1 and earn 1/2 credit. Second semester and Session 2 will meet from Tuesday, July 6
through Thursday, July 29 and earn 1/2 credit.
TUITION:
Academics: $165.00 per semester course/$330.00 per year course (District 128)
$240.00 per semester course/$480.00 per year course (Out of District)
Driver Education: $195.00 (District 128)/ $270.00 (Out of District)
TEXTBOOK FEES/REGISTRATION:

REGISTRATION:
District 128 students will request to enroll in a summer school course with their guidance
counselor. Students will then be mailed a bill for the course along with a Summer School Registration Form.
Students will be officially registered in the course only after the following have been received at the summer
school office: 1) a completed registration form and 2) a check made out to Community High School District 128 for
the amount on the bill. VISA and MasterCard are also accepted. Non-District students may sign up for academic
classes in Room 1103 at LHS or Room 1540 at VHHS. Courses will be filled on a first-come basis. No student is
allowed to register without paying fees in full.
Registration for Driver Education will be held Saturday, April 24 between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at Libertyville High School in Room 151.
ATTENDANCE:
Each day teachers will cover over a week of material that would be taught during the regular
school year. Therefore daily attendance is required. Any student who misses more than 2 days per semester course
(1 day for Driver’s Education), will NOT receive credit for that semester course. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION.
REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will not be issued after April 24. The District 128 Summer School Program is
financially self-supportive and therefore decisions regarding enrollment and course sections must be made in
fairness to all students and teachers. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE WHEN STUDENTS ARE DROPPED
FROM A CLASS FOR POOR ATTENDANCE, FOR DISCIPLINARY REASONS, OR DISCONTINUED
ATTENDANCE OF THEIR OWN.
TRANSFER of CREDITS:
Students from schools outside of District 128 should check with their own school prior to
enrolling in summer school. Please be sure you have completed the Student Information Form so that we can
transfer credits to your home school.
REPORT CARDS:
Report cards for each semester will be issued after the end of the second semester.
